Book Report: The Book I read for the past two months was "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck". The interesting thing is, it is more written like a diary with comic-like pictures. I can recommend it to kids which don't like reading long novels. It is not really one big story, but a few smaller ones which are added up in the end. (At least that's what I can tell.) You can really enjoy reading it, especially when you are in a bad mood because there are also lots of hilarious events happening which might cheer you up!
Character description: Greg: Greg Heffley is the main character of the book and is kind of an unlucky kid. He got two brothers - one's younger, one's older - with him being the "sandwich kid".
Rowley: Greg's best friend Rowley Jefferson is a boy, which is kind of still stuck in first grade and he has been around with Greg for a whole while now. But in this book he ditches his friend because he actually found a girlfriend.
Rodrick: Rodrick Heffley is Greg's older brother - and like I think all big brothers do - he's interested in annoying the small ones.
Manny: Greg's younger brother Manny Heffley is still about 4 - 5 years old. He isn't really mentioned very often in the book, but he is absolutely adorable!
Mom: Greg's mom is a very caring and annoying mother and she is mostly caring about Manny because he's the youngest. She has 4 sisters and she always want the best for the family.
Dad: Greg's dad is one of those dads which want their sons to be strong. He wants them to do sport outside in the garden instead of sitting in front of the TV playing video games.
Personal Opinion: I enjoyed reading this book because of all the jokes in between the chapters (days) It is also fun to read because of the writing that is used and how the chapters are written. And especially the cover! I think it works really well with the book and it already makes the ready feel like he/she is reading someones diary.
